Donald F. Sapecky

Donald F. Sapecky, 86 of Carmel, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023.  Don was born May 20, 1937 in Buffalo, NY to the late Francis and Nadine Sapecky.  He was a US Army veteran and a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo.

Don was a food broker with Loblaw Foods while in Buffalo NY, National Tea after moving the family to Chicago, and later moving to Carmel, Indiana for a position with Walters & Co.   He retired in 2000.  Don was a member and server at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.   Don loved puttering around his yard and enjoyed playing golf, bowling and cracking a good sarcastic joke.  He was a faithful companion in his later years to his dogs Molly and Greta.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 12 at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, where family and friends are invited to gather from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass.

Don is survived by his wife of 60 years Patricia Anne Sapecky; children, Gregory (wife, Linda) Sapecky, Deborah (husband, Steve) Klineman, BethAnne (husband, Chris) Vernatter; grandchildren, Halle Sapecky, Ella Sapecky, Matthew (fiance’, Julia Turner) Klineman, Hannah and Chelsea Klineman, Sydney Vernatter, Sarah (husband, Kyle) Langevin, Michelle (husband, Josh) Harvey; and sister, Kathy Fabozzi.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Sapecky and most recently his son, Christopher Sapecky.
