Donald R. Wells

Donald R. Wells, 90, of Indianapolis, IN passed away May 17, 2021. He was born January 16, 1931 in Brazil, Indiana to the late Arvil and Dorothy (Kaelber) Wells. Donald was a Tool and Die Maker for Western Electric for 30 years retiring in 1985. He proudly served in the U S Army during the Korean War. Donald was a long-time member of Calvary Tabernacle. He was a “Jack of All Trades” and the family said he was able to fix most anything he put his mind to. Donald was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children Radonna J. Doan and Daniel D. Wells, grandson Rick A. Wilburn, nieces Tammy Skillman, Darlene Olmstead, Tina Scharder, Brenda Crawford and nephews Steve and David Dinsmore. Beside his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife Erma “Jean” Wells, sister Shirley Thomas, brother Lee Wells, and nephew Daniel Owen Thomas. Visitation for Donald will be Friday, May 21, 2021 5:00-8:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township with the funeral Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11 AM there. He will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, IN. Memorial contributions may be directed to the donor’s favorite charity.
