Donald G. Midyett

Donald G. Midyett, 89, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away  on September 2, 2023. He was born on October 27, 1933, in Indianapolis, to the late Roy and LaVerne Midyett.

Don graduated from Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis IN in 1951.  He served in the US Navy on the USS Hornet CVA-12 from 1954 – 1955 and on the USS Bergall SS-320 from 1955 – 1957.  His fondest memories were of traveling the world while in the Navy.

After the Navy, Don attended IU Bloomington and majored in Chemistry.

Don moved to Seymour IN in 1960 and worked for Central Pharmical and then Elder Pharmaceuticals.  He was the owner/operator of Don Midyett Welding Supply in Seymour for many years.

Don was a member of the Jackson Masonic Lodge #146 and the Scottish Rite and was a 32^nd degree Mason.  

Don is survived by his daughter, Melinda Buckner; grandchildren, Megan Knight and Rebekah Allison; great grandchildren, Chloe, James, and Jacob Knight and Emma Allison.

Don’s final resting place will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Indianapolis IN
