Donald Meyers

Donald Charles Meyers 84, of Indianapolis, passed away September 2, 2013. He was born November 21, 1928, in Indianapolis, the son of Francis and Clara (Mappas) Meyers. Don was a member of the American Legion Post # 34 and St. Pius X Catholic Church. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. Don was an avid sports fan especially baseball. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Carrel) Meyers, brother Cletus and sister Clara Ann Gardner, step-daughters Suzanne (Richard) Newton, Marcia Spies, Claudia (Jim) Leahy, and Carolyn (Wayne) Daniel. Donald is also survived by sons Donald, Ben, and Keith Meyers, daughters Kathy (David) Whisler and Leslie (Tom) Floyd. He also leaves behind several loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Thursday September 5, 2013 at St. Pius X Catholic Parish, 7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis, IN, 46240, with visitation one hour prior to the mass. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Pius X Catholic Parish. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan - Broad Ripple.
