Donald D. Huff

Donald D Huff, 85, of New Palestine, IN, passed away Thursday, January 8 at Springhurst Health Center, Greenfield, IN Don was born March 21, 1940, in Trenton, MO to Russell D. and Julia R. Huff. 

In his younger years, Don enjoyed working on his cars and racing go carts. He graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis. He had two sons, Martin and Dale from his first marriage. On February 26, 1966, Don married Edna Patterson and they enjoyed traveling, hosting parties and family gatherings, until her death in 2009. Their 500 Race Day party was a long standing tradition enjoyed by many. Don was a welder at Western Electric until their closing and then worked at United Coatings, Indpls. and Harlan in Cumberland. Don loved his home in New Palestine and as a man who could fix anything, enjoyed tinkering around the house and yard. 

Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna and daughter, Paulette Squires. He is survived by Pam Sinclair (Vern), Barbara Fey (Keith), Wayne Patterson, 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Larry (Sarah) Huff and Dave (Janis) Huff.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 19, at Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis IN 46229. from noon - 2:00 pm and a memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
