Donald Burl Havlin, 74, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026.

Born on August 8, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Don spent his life bringing laughter, music, and joy to everyone around him. A proud and decorated Vietnam Veteran, he served honorably in the United States Army and carried that pride with him throughout his life.

Don was an exceptionally talented musician, guitarist, singer, and DJ who had a deep love for classic rock. Whether he was playing music, sharing stories, or entertaining friends and family, he had a gift for bringing people together. If you knew Don, you knew he was the life of the party. He never missed an opportunity to tell a joke, make someone laugh, or brighten a room with his larger-than-life personality.

Above all else, Don loved his family. He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Susie Hersley; his daughters, Holly (Nick) Phillips and Heidi (Ryan) Baier; his cherished grandchildren, Shelby Bell, Gavin Henry, Skyler Neesen, and Aubree Baier; his great-grandchildren, Jayden Bell and Jersey Bell; his mother, Mary Havlin; his siblings, Becky Riskin, Doug (Shirley) Havlin, Tammy Havlin, Thad (Kristie) Havlin, and Zachary (Connie) Havlin; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Havlin, and his grandmother, Gwendolyn Coin.

Don’s legacy will live on through the music he shared, the laughter he created, and the countless memories he gave to those fortunate enough to know him. While his family and friends will miss him deeply, they find comfort in knowing that his spirit, humor, and love will remain in their hearts forever.
