Donald F. Stearns

Donald F. Stearns 71, Indianapolis, Indiana passed away January 7, 2013 at his home. Mr. Stearns was born on May 20, 1941 at North Vernon, Indiana the son of Joseph D. and Mary Eleanor (Johnson) Stearns. Mr. Stearns had worked at J. D. Stearns Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth Dealership in North Vernon, Indiana and was a restaurant manager in Indianapolis, Indiana. Don was a Eagle Scout and a dedicated scoutmaster at the First Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis and loved to explore the wonders of The Art of Bonsi. Survivors: wife of 51 years, Jody (Decker) Stearns; daughter, Katie (J.C.) Terman; brother, David Stearns and sister, Mary Jo Thomas; neice, Jill Jenkins; nephew, James Lang and his favorite chocolate lab, Mocha. Memorial services will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 13th at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Friends and family may call after 2:00 pm Sunday at the funeral center. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
