Donald C. Strain

Donald Curtiss Strain, 87, of Indianapolis passed away on October 15, 2022. He was born in Reelsville, IN to the late Curtiss V. and Anna B. (Bayer) Strain. Donald was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all. Donald graduated valedictorian of his high school class and attended Rose Polytechnic Institute (Rose Hulman Institute). He was a veteran of the United States Army. Donald retired from General Motors after 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Darrin Strain; sisters Jean Gates, Doris Dickens, and Carol Butts; and brother Ray Strain. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Keneen Strain; his daughter Donna (Mike) Anderson; brother Richard Strain; sister Lois McKinney; grandsons Joshua, Ben (Melaina), Isaac, and Tim (Kyrsten) Anderson and his great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 25 with funeral service at 1:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway at 2950 N High School Road in Indianapolis. Graveside service to follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
