A man of many passions, Don was a talented photographer, an aquarium enthusiast, and a lifelong fan of Star Wars and Disney. He had a deep appreciation for music and was a superfan of the Eagles. He was also a passionate supporter of college basketball, taking great pride in cheering on his favorite team, the Indiana Hoosiers.
In his professional life, Don was an accomplished Systems Engineer, where his analytical mind and problem-solving skills made him a highly-valued expert and mentor.
Most of all, Don was a devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend, with an incredible devotion to those he held dear. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren Jabin, Jadon, and Finn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (Sedam) Bratton; his children, Amanda Bratton, and Matthew Bratton (Rachel); stepdaughter, LeeAnn Whittemore (Tyler); stepson, Dustin Whittemore; stepmother, Miarna Bratton; brother-in-law, Joe Hruban; niece, Diana Bean (Matthew); sister-in-law, Julia Bay; nephews, Jacob and Nathan Bay; great-nephews, Evan and Parker Bean; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
