Donald Alsop

Donald Ray Alsop 69 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away March 1, 2011. He was born to the late Ray D. and Mary Ruth Alsop on November 23, 1941 in Linton, Indiana. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor degree and went on to graduate from Indiana University with a Master’s degree. During his lifetime he worked for many companies including Firestone Tire & Rubber Company as a chemist and quality control, President of Indianapolis Rubber Company, Owner and President of Indy Rubber Products, Owner and President of Alsop Industrial Services, partner of TDJ Inc. and Owner and President of TPC Inc. Donald’s hobbies include Amateur Radio Operator with a call sign K958P and was a private pilot for many years. He was a member of Allisonville Christian Church where he served as an Elder. He survived by aunt and uncle- Norma and Don Elliott, aunt- Betty Newsom and many cousins. Service: 12:00 Friday, March 4, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Broad Ripple with calling 2 hours prior. Grave Side will be 3:30 pm Friday at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana.
