Dona Evelyn Harrison

Dona Evelyn Harrison, 84, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.  She was born on May 4, 1934 in Barren County, KY as one of 7 daughters to the late Jack and Becky (Mesker) Carver.  Dona was a 1953 graduate of Austin-Tracy High School and moved to Indianapolis to take a job with Bookwalter Printing Company; dedicating 34 years of service before her retirement in 1991.  Dona was a member of Lighthouse Community Church, but her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family.  She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Floyd Harrison; children, Sheila (Jerry Crouch) Hamm, Lorie Stanley, Donna (Kevin) Burns, David Harrison; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Dona is also survived by her sisters, Chris Hatchett, Betty Steenbergen, Lillie (Jim) Lawson; and son-in-law, Joe Lortz.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Turner-Lortz; and sisters, Gladys Slaten, Dorothy Steenbergen and Reba Rice.  Visitation for Mrs. Harrison will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 11am -1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East with funeral services immediately following.  Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
