Don Shelburne

Don K. Shelburne, 80, of Zionsville, died December 14, 2011. He was born in Indianapolis on May 3, 1931 to the late Roy H. and Bessie Mae (Engledow) Shelburne. Don was a 1949 graduate of Zionsville High School. He married Alma Anniece Tharp Shelburne on November 27, 1950. He was employed as a truck driver for the Teamsters' Union until his retirement in 1991. Don loved spending time with his family, music, and working in his shop. He was a member of Zionsville Fellowship. Don is survived by his wife, Anniece; his children Dianna Hopper, Rebecca Moreland (Mark), Mark Shelburne, and Julana Shelburne; his sister, Anita Graham Charles "Bud"); his grandchildren Dennis, Kristy, Michael, Sara, Stephanie, Mark Thomas II, DJ, Brandi, and Josh; many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many cousins Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Zionsville Fellowship, 9090 E. State Rd. 334, Zionsville. Don's funeral will be held there Wednesday, December 21, at 10:30 a.m. Contributions in memory of Don may be made to Zionsville Fellowship or The Gideons Bible Society.
