Don W. Price
76, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 3, 2015 following a long struggle with ALS. He was born August 25, 1938 in Wichita, KS. He graduated from Wichita State University in 1960 with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He worked for the Food and Drug Administration in Kansas City, MO and Washington, D.C. from 1960-1967 when he came to Indianapolis to work for Eli Lilly & Company in Quality Control from 1967 until retirement in 1993.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marilyn (Rouse) Price; two children, LeAnn (Steve) Ambs of Aurora, IN and Nathan (Chris) Price of Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren, Rachel Nelson of Kansas City, KS, Abby Price and Thomas Price of Indianapolis, IN.
Gardening, tennis, photography, fishing, and traveling were his life-long passions. He served on the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Art League fromm 1980-1986 and Sycamore Springs Board from 2002-2010. He and his family summered in Leland, Michigan since 1987.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 3 p.m. with calling from 1 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple. In lieu of flowers, contributions to ALS Association Indiana Chapter, 6525 E. 82nd Street, Suite 115, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
