Don Cole

Don Cole 79, of Indianapolis, passed away November 27, 2012. He was born June 29, 1933 in Taylorville, IL to Clarence and Ruth Cole, who preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marjean; children, Roxie(Jesus) Gonzalez, Lila(David) Jones, Suzy(Doug) Holman, and Kevin Cole; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and brother, John D.(Dorothy) Cole. Don graduated from Altamont High School where he played baseball, basketball, and was a member of the band for 5 years. Don was retired from the Post Office after 32 years of service. He enjoyed photography and was an avid bowler. Don was an active member of Arlington Heights Baptist Church since 1961. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a 50+ year member of the Altamont Masonic Lodge #533 in Illinois and the Westside Chapter York Rite Body No. 138. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 2-6 PM at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic service at 6:00 PM Sunday evening.
