Domenic Louis Angelicchio, age 70, Indianapolis, died peacefully on October 6, 2014. He was a man generous to all, who garnered respect from everyone who knew him. On our best dressed list, he is truly mourned by Indy dry cleaners. He was captain courageous whose soul lifted and sustained us. A Secret Keeper extraordinaire and a fierce fisherman who always caught the biggest fish...except when he didn't. Second to his family (we think), he loved those speed machines. Born in Chicago on January 21, 1944, to Achille and Vincenza Bernardo Angelicchio, he attended Scecina High School and Purdue University. For 34 years his mechanical genius directed his company, Moorfeed Corporation, as he acted as the Godfather of the Feeder industry. Domenic helped establish recreational soccer in Zionsville and countless kids benefited from his coaching in baseball, soccer, basketball and softball. He himself was an accomplished race car driver and double black diamond skier. The legacy of this devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend will live on in his wife, Pat Gomes Angelicchio; children, Shawn (Tom East) Angelicchio, Jason (Christy) Angelicchio, Dominick "Nick" Angelicchio, Isabel Christine Vincenza Angelicchio, Echo Estelle Angelicchio; siblings, Maria (Bill) Parham, Louis (Judy) Angelicchio, Gina (Larry) Howald, Julie (Freddie) Dixon; stepmother, Diane Angelicchio; grandchildren, Josh, Audrey, Wesley, Devyn, Jackson, Adam; nieces and nephews, Angie, Hayley, Mary, Jessi, Kelly, Jennifer, Brian, Michael, Caroline, Maggie, Greta, Sam, Zach, Cassie, Zoe, Trevor, and Morgan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 4-8 pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis, with a Celebration of Life tribute at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Orchard School, where Domenic served as the President of the Board of Governors, 615 East 64th St, Indpls, IN 46260, and The Community Health Network Foundation, whose doctors and nurses provided outstanding care and comfort this past year, 7240 Shadeland Station, Suite 125, Indpls, In 46256.
