Dolores Jane (Ostrander) Terry-Yoke, age 89 of Fishers, IN passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 2, 2025 at her home.
Dolores was born on April 30, 1935 in Coldwater, Michigan, a daughter of Byron and Elaine (Hoelzle) Ostrander. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She was married to Paul Richard Terry. He preceded her in death on January 4, 1977.
She later married Walter “Robert” Yoke in 1979. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2000.
Dolores is survived by her son Michael (wife Susan) Terry of Noblesville, Indiana.
Dolores’ grandchildren: Jill (husband Derek) Lamle of Noblesville, IN and Erin (husband Cullen Hewlett) Terry of Noblesville, IN.
Her stepchildren: Ed (wife Diane) Yoke of Lawrence, Indiana, and Carolyn Wynegar of Lawrence, IN.
Step Grandchildren: Bob (wife Anne) Yoke of Indianapolis, IN, Jeff Yoke of Indianapolis, IN, and Melissa (husband Scott) Walton of Lawrence, IN.
Great grandchildren: Hailey Walton and Marshall Lamley.
She is preceded in death by one stepdaughter: Jody Begley, Carolyn's husband Ron Wynegar, and one step granddaughter: Jenny Wynegar.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, located at 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, IN 46037.
Her Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Father Dale Ehrman will officiate.
Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery where Dolores will be laid to rest with her first husband Paul Richard Terry.
Dolores grew up in Indianapolis on the south side. She graduated from Manual High School in the class of 1953.
After high school she began her professional career with Eli Lilly in a bookkeeping role.
Dolores was strong in her faith. She was a parishioner at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist.
She was a caregiver by nature and loved to study genealogy. She also loved to make clothing for dolls to give to under privileged children around the holidays.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, family member and friend to many who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
