Dianna L. Lucas

Dianna Lynn (Beckett) Lucas, 81, died peacefully on August 23rd, 2023, at the Sanford Health & Rehabilitation in Sanford, North Carolina after a long battle with dementia. Visitation for Dianna will be held from 11am-1pm, Monday, August 28, 2023, with a funeral service following at 1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229). Burial to immediately follow services at Washington Park East Cemetery. She will be laid to rest next to her loving husband and sister.

Dianna was born November 25th, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Donald & Bonnie Beckett. She graduated high school in 1960 and went on to start her career at Indiana Bell. On May 24, 1974, she and Harris Lucas wed and joined their families. Together they continued to raise their children in Indianapolis before retiring to Cocoa, Florida. They enjoyed dancing, playing Blitz and Euchre, and family gatherings. In retirement, Dianna was a competitive Bingo player, doing crafts, and never lost her love of music.

Dianna is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harris Lucas; and her sister, Marla Gann. She is survived by her children, Robert (Pam) Lucas, Thomas Lucas, Malinda Taylor, Michael (Beth) Lee, and David Lucas; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Chad) Gosser, Brooke Lucas, Holly (Steve) Brown, Sarah (Tony) Roman, Joshua (Sarah) Wright, Lea (Steven) Lusk, Troy (Lauren) Wright Jr.; along with her great grandchildren, Dakota (Nathan) Taylor, Steven Brown Jr, Andrew Brown, Ethan Brown, Hudson Brown, Sebastian Wright, Vincent Wright, Jacob Lusk, Jaida Lusk, Kyla Wright, Gianna Wright, and Jaxson Wright.
