Diane Williams

Diane ( Wilson) Williams was born on September 27, 1946 in Gary, IN to Ray & Minnie Mae Wilson. She is the second oldest of six children. After a valiant fight with numerous illnesses, she departed this life on February 11, 2015 in Indianapolis, IN Diane graduated from Gary Roosevelt High School, class of 1964. In 1966 she married Cleo Robertson Jr, and to this union they were blessed with a daughter, Jacqueline D. Robertson. Diane was employed by the Gary Public School Corporation ( Food Service) for 24 years before retiring and relocating to Indianapolis, IN with her daughter. Diane was very passionate about her families roots. She devoted several years to Genealogy Research. Diane also enjoyed sewing and reading. She was a member of the Readers Delight Book Club. To know Diane was to love her, as she had a good sense of humor, always willing to give a helping hand and could be straight forward when communicating. Diane's only grandson, Deon aka "POOH BABY" was often her topic of discussions as he was the joy of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray & Minnie Mae Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memories; her devoted daughter, Jacqueline D. Robertson of Indpls, IN; grandson, Deon J. Blake of Indpls, IN; brother, Raymond ( Wilma) Wilson of Gary, IN; 4 sisters, Carolyne Hobbs & Eva J. Gray of Gary, IN; Minnie (Anthony) Gray of Alexandria, VA; Brenda Wilson- Franz of Avondale, AZ; uncle, Jerry Thomas of Hammond, IN; devoted friends, Essie Comer & Barbara Jones of Indpls, IN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
