Diane Hoffman Mikiska

Diane Hoffman Mikiska passed away peacefully in her home with her daughters on September 18, 2023. Diane was born in Indianapolis, IN to Ilene D. and Harry B. Hoffman Jr. After her early years in Irvington, the Hoffman family moved to Worthington, IN, where they resided until Diane graduated from high school. She went on to Indiana University, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority and graduated with a B.S. in Education. She met her husband, Jerry K. Mikiska, at IU, and they were married upon her graduation. They had two daughters, Liza and Karen. Jerry, Diane, and their family lived in Indianapolis, Argentina, Puerto Rico, and Zionsville. Diane enjoyed her role as mother and established a warm home for her girls. In addition to teaching and retail, she was active in Tri Kappa, Latreian, Junior Symphony, Childrens Bureau, Lambs Club, DAR, MAFIA, Sunnyside Guild, and St. Margaret’s Guild. Diane was a member of Meridian Street Methodist Church. She played golf as a member of Woodland and Ulen Country Clubs. Music and art were lifelong passions. Diane is survived by her daughters, Liza Trant and Karen Roberts, her grandchildren, Collin (Aryana) and Riley Trant, Olivia, Will, and Emma Roberts, great-grandchild, Levi Trant, and companion, William Schilling.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Meridian Street Methodist Church with funeral service at 12 p.m.
