Diana Louise Walls

Diana Louise Walls, age 85 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Tuesday morning, February 10, 2026 at her home in Indianapolis.

Diana was born on February 13, 1940 in Indianapolis, a daughter of Carl W. Smith and Dorothea M. (Hilscher) Myers.

Cremation Rites will be accorded. A graveside inurnment service will be held at Holy Cross/St. Joseph Cemetery in Indianapolis at a later date.

Diana was the mother of six children: Joyce (Bubbie) Monday, Janice (Glenn) Strange, Ramona Ohms, Michael (Barbara) Walls, and Jonathon Walls, as well as her son Geoffrey Walls who preceded her in death in 2006.

She is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Diana was the oldest of six children.  She is survived by her four siblings: brother C. Eugene (wife Janice) Smith, sister Sylvia S. Bohannon, sister Pamela K. McGoldrick and sister Theresa A. Brockman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother: Louis H. Smith.

Diana grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1958. After high school, she worked at Western Electric until they closed then worked at The Marriott East on Shadeland Avenue.

In her free time, Diana loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and watching Harry Potter and Twilight. She also loved horses, especially Clydesdales and John Wayne.

Diana was a loving mother and grandmother who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
