Diana "Ducky" Angelicchio, 86, of Naples FL, formerly of Indianapolis IN, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2016 in her home. She was born on September 4, 1929 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Verl and Juanita (Allison) Cox. She has gone to join the love of her life Achille "Kelly" Angelicchio, who preceded her in death 11 years to the day.
Diana attended Arsenal Technical High School as well as one University accounting class with her daughter Julie. She belonged to several bowling leagues and was a member of the "600" club. Diana was a member of Hillcrest CC, Quail Creek CC and Imperial CC, and held the title of Hillcrest Women's Club Champion in 1992 and 1994. She was an avid knitter, quilter, reader, and crossword puzzle wizard. Her greatest loves were her family, golf, cruising, and of course, playing Black Jack at casinos throughout the world, Las Vegas being her favorite. She was meticulous in everything she did, and was a caregiver extraordinaire.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her only daughter Julie "peewee" Dixon and her husband Freddie, her only granddaughter Caroline "Tuti" Dixon who was the light of her life. She has 3 step children, Maria (Bill) Parham, Lou (Judy) Angelicchio, Gina (Larry) Howald, and step daughter in-law Pat Angelicchio. She was preceded in death by her step son Domenic "Donny" Angelicchio. She has 13 step grandchildren, and 12 step great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving nieces Rosemary Cangelosi and Marietta Jackson, her grand-nieces Julie (Tim) Bowman and Gia (Ryan) Thompson, grand-nephews Joe Jackson and Chris Jackson. She will be greatly missed by her best friend Marlene Landstra of Naples FL.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 30th at Flanner and Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Connor Suite, 9700 Allisonville Rd from 10:00am-12:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 pm.
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday February 4th, from 4:00pm – 6:00 pm at Park Plaza, 4301 Gulf Shore Blvd North, Naples FL.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Humane Society or Domestic Animal Services Naples FL, from where her loving grand-dogs Pepper and Harvey were adopted, whom she adored.
