Diana Marie Combs

Surrounded by the people she loved, Diana Marie Combs slipped into eternity on November 4, 2026 at the age of 86. Diana was born on January 26, 1940, in Marion County Indiana to Fred and Fern Schlomer, the youngest of two children.

Diana spent her working years as a business owner and in the retail sector, but her real passion was her family and spirited sense of adventure. She relished all the family camping outings and trips across America, even if by scooter in her later years. Diana was blessed with an infectious smile and great sense of humor that made her fun to be around. She also was immovable at times and would let you know with her signature gesture. She was truly the matriarch of the family and will be sorely missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children Diana Means(Bryan Moistner), Sherri Pinkerman-Munden(David Munden), Mary Goldman (Greg), James Combs, and Fred Combs(Michelle); 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Loyal, and her parents and only sister Jackie. F.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13 at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229, with public visitation from 10am to 1pm. Service will be at 1pm with graveside service at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society Johnson County (HSJC).
