Diana Coletta Lowe
Diana Coletta Lowe, 82, was born on July 15, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois – the eldest of three children, to Henry Clark and Dorothy Cunnea. After the passing of her mother, Diana was raised by her father and grandmother, Laura Henzy, in Clinton, Indiana. Upon graduating high school, she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, with her sister. There, Diana met the love of her life, Robert Lewis Lowe, whom she married on January 24, 1951, and with whom she raised three children. After the passing of her husband in 1980, Diana relocated to Noblesville, IN; later to Lexington, OH; and most recently to Grand Junction, CO, to be near her family.
Diana worked as an accountant, retiring in 1997. She was well-known for her card playing skills, and could often be found playing euchre during her lunch break at work. Diana's other interests included gatherings with family and friends, dancing, roller-skating, bowling, gardening, reading, making crafts, sewing, crocheting, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles, hot air balloons, and travelling. She was well-known for her strong independence, conservative lifestyle, and her generosity in giving to others.
Diana passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014, in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clark and Dorothy Cunnea; her sister, Donna Price (Ted); her brother, Donald Clark (Shirley); and her husband, Robert Lowe. Diana is survived by her half-brother, Ronald Clark (Bonnie) of Frankfort, IL; three children, including Richard Lowe (Judy) of Innsbrook, Missouri; Randall Lowe of Crawfordsville, Indiana; and Brenda Leeman (Wayne) of Grand Junction, Colorado; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center – Washington Park East, 10612 E. Washington St., in Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be from 1:00pm-3:00pm, with service and burial at Washington Park East Cemetery immediately following. Memorial contributions be made in Diana's memory to: H.I.S.
