Derrick W. Harding, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away October 20, 2010.
He was born December 07, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Derrick Vail and Doris Woodwark Harding.
Derrick was a graduate of Shortridge High School and received a bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster, and a master’s degree from Indiana University.
He was a professor of French and English as a Second Language at Ivy Tech Community College.
Derrick is survived by his son, Christian Andrew Harding; sister, Emily Moellering; brothers, Bob and John R. Harding; numerous extended family members; and his closest friend, James Richardson.
A Service in Celebration of Derrick’s Life will be at 2 p.m., October 27, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, where a reception will follow.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to St. Paul’s parish and a deep gratitude for the love and care extended by Tinker and Lydia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
