Denton Roger Nungester, 80, of Indianapolis passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 2, 1942, to his parents Clarence and Daisy Nungester. Denton graduated from George Washington High School in 1961. He was a dedicated employee for Ford Motor Company for many years. He retired as a Job Setter in 2005. Throughout his retirement, he and his late wife, Linda, loved to travel to various places including Hawaii, California, and Florida. They also enjoyed some cruises—specifically the Elvis cruises. Occasionally, they’d venture to the casino to enjoy their time. Denton had a Euchre club and loved every minute of it—especially the trash talking. Denton wore many hats in his lifetime—Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Friend, and many more. He loved his close ones, and he will be missed sorely by all the lives he has touched.

Denton is survived by his children, Sandra Nungester, Suzanne Frison, Stephen (Connie) Nungester, and Bryan Nungester; his grandchildren, Taunie, Taisha, KorbyQuan, Kelli, Corinne, and Baine; his great-grandson, Noah; and 4 step-grandchildren.

Denton is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Henry Nungester Sr.; his mother, Daisy Irene (Noe) Nungester, his loving wife of 38 years, Linda Nungester; and his 6 siblings.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 11AM-1PM at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral will follow the visitation—beginning at 1PM. Denton will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery next to his wife, Linda.
