Dennis Paul Erhart

Indianapolis - Dennis P Erhart, 66, of Indianapolis departed this life on Monday January 15, 2024 from complications surrounding bladder cancer. He was born September 22, 1957, to the late Thomas Erhart and Rose Erhart, in Kalida, OH. He is survived by his wife: Laura Erhart: Son, Nick (Casey) Erhart: Step Daughter, Gretchen (Jonathan) Stemerick; Brother: Robert Erhart; two sisters: Sharon (John) Stechschulte and Joann Horstman; Mother in Law: Dorothy Kseniak; Brother- in-Law: Michael (Cindy) Kseniak; Three Sister-In-laws: Patti ( Rob) Parsons and Maryann ( Rick) Stanley, Debbie Hape; Four grandchildren: Brayden Erhart, Kimberly Erhart and Kane Erhart, Lydia Stemerick. And dozens of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: Wife: Kim Erhart, Both Parents: Thomas and Rose Erhart; Father-in-Law: Edward Kseniak

Denny attended St Francis University in Ft Wayne, earning a bachelor’s degree while playing baseball and golf. Denny worked in production management for different manufacturing companies throughout a long career, finally retiring from Quikrete in June of 2023. Denny’s real love was coaching, and he coached basketball for well over 20years. He started with his son in grade school and coached his last game while coaching his oldest grandson, Brayden in 2018. In the years since, you could always find him at a gym or ballfield watching his grandkids play. The kids always knew they could count on him for a trip to the concession stand for a snack with Grampie. Denny was always the life of the party, he loved meeting new people and learning about them, he truly never knew a stranger. He was a diehard Notre Dame football fan, loved the Detroit Tigers, and Wolfie’s Bar and Grill.

Mass of Christian Burial 11am on Tuesday January 23^rd, 2024, at St. Simon Catholic Church. Visitation will be 4-8pm on Monday January 22^nd at Flanner Buchanan Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis.
