Denise Marietta Hart

Denise Marietta Hart, 71, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on April 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 23rd, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Bill and Louise Marietta.

Denise was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She married her high school sweetheart, Edward Hart, in 1976, and together they built a beautiful life and family. Denise attended Purdue University and Indiana University before dedicating herself to her family and serving as a partner with her husband at Safeway Logistics, a company they owned together.

Above all, Denise was a dedicated Christian who was passionate about sharing her faith and helping others come to know Christ. Her love for God and her family was evident in everything she did, and she touched the lives of many through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.

Denise is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Edward Hart; her daughters, Janel (Jason) Chatraw of Boise, Idaho and Christina (Blake) Andrews of Carmel, Indiana; her sister, Debra Jeanne Marietta; and her six cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Ella, Faith, Julia, Elijah, and Sarabeth.

A celebration of Denise's life will be held at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, on Tuesday April 23^rd at 2pm. Visitation will begin there at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Compassion International or Samaritan's Purse. 

Denise will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of faith, love, and devotion to her family will live on forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
