Dencill E. Kelly, or more commonly known by "Denny", was surrounded with love by family and friends after unexpectedly passing away in his home on September 6th, 2025. His 64 years of life began in Dayton, Ohio on July 12th, 1961. In these 64 years many knew him as a friend, a musician, a fisherman, a businessman, and so much more. He wore small wrinkles next to his eyes proudly from years of smiling and laughter combined with the classic Kelly's family squint.
He spent his younger years chasing the dream of being a professional musician in his band "Euphoria" and had just recently had banded back together for a new start. He would drop what he's doing in an instant to have a fishing trip or some time with his friends. He survived all of these memories alongside his wife Joyce Kelly in a 47 year-long love story, and a marriage for those 42 years. 29 of those years were spent as a father to his children Kaylyn and Mark Kelly.
Denny was the type of man that would call you and speak on the phone for hours just to check in and ask about your day. A man always to be remembered as smiling and laughing. A man that would give the shirt off of his back for anyone in need. A man that knew how to work hard and play hard. Most importantly, a man that loved all of his friends and family dearly.
With these beautiful 64 years of life coming to an end, we will be holding Visitation and Funeral Services on Sunday, September 14th, 2025 at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229). Friends and family are welcome to attend Visitation from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, which will be followed by Service beginning at 1:00 pm. Denny will be lovingly laid to rest following services.
Construction Alert: Blue Line Project Underway
Gradex will reduce the front entrance at Washington Park East to a single lane due to ongoing Blue Line construction. We understand this change may cause significant traffic delays, especially for our funeral, cemetery, and event services.
What we're doing to help:
To ease congestion, we’ve expanded the 10th Street entrance, which will be open during normal business hours for all guests. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this evolving situation. We’ll continue to monitor traffic flow and make adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible experience for our visitors.
