Dena Lynn Misner

Dena Lynn Misner, age 75, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away June 28, 2026. She was born on September 6, 1950, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Woodrow and Anna Belle Deerberg.

Dena attended Franklin Central High School and, in the years following her graduation entered the work force, holding various administrative positions.

On July 21, 1973, after an extremely brief engagement, Dena took a risk and married Terry Misner. The risk paid off because they shared almost 53 years together. Over the years, Dena was able to enjoy the company of her husband as she worked alongside him in multiple small business ventures where she did the bookkeeping and office management.

Dena was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed spending time sharing with people her Bible-based hope for the future. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains in Colorado, which was her favorite state. Some of her favorite activities included delving into her genealogy, spending time with her grandchildren, and going for drives through the countryside. She had a lifelong love of chocolate, which could always bring a smile to her face.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Misner; her children, Nikki (Brad) Howard and Levi (Stacey) Misner; her grandchildren, June Misner and Weston Misner; her siblings, Linda Eaton, Terri Vaughn, and Lorri Morrison. She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Anna Belle Deerberg; her brother, Ronald Deerberg, and her sister, Sharon Meurer.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses - West Hall, located at 4809 E Raymond St. Indianapolis, IN 46203. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. Floral arrangements may be delivered from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
