Della Fern Baker, 72 of Indianapolis was born February 2, 1943 and died on October 19, 2015. She was born in Vergie, Kentucky to Walter and Thelma Fleming. She came to Indianapolis in her youth and attended Arsenal Technical High School. She was a very devoted member of Mt. Calvary Evangelistic Center for over 20 years. She enjoyed growing flowers and going to yard sales but she enjoyed her family the most. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Hobert Hicks and Roy Baker. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Madonna (Russell Tomey) Foote, Hobert Eugene (Lisa) Hicks and Timothy R. (Deborah Hart) Hicks, Best Friend, Shelly G. Dixon, sister, Johna Cline, brothers, Danny Fleming, Greg Fleming and Terry Gibson, 6 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. Friends may visit from 4-8 PM Friday, October 23, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis and from 11 AM until service time at 12 Noon, Saturday at Mt. Calvary Evangelistic Center, 1840 Sloan Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46203. Contributions may be made in her name to the Church. Friends may sign Dellas online guest registry at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
