Delbert Woods

Delbert Woods, 81, of Indianapolis passed away on June 12, 2014. He was born December 14, 1932 in Martinsville, IN to the late Jefferson Blout and Marie Ethel Hampton Woods. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, and worked most of his life as an auto mechanic. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast as well. Del was a man of many layers. He had grown into a very good husband and father. "He is my strength and my soul, and he will be greatly missed." He is survived by his wife of 36 years Janice Clements Woods; sister Martha (Charles) Hill; sons Edward (Vickie) Woods, Steven Neece, Jessee (Mary) Davidson, Clifton (Gwen) Davidson; daughters Marsha Ann (Rick) Blunk, Debra Kay (Kent) Boeving, Terri Jo Woods, and Kinsey Renee Woods; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Delbert is preceded in death by his brothers John and Ray, as well as grandsons Brandon Boeving and Kyle Woods. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
