Delbert Eugene Massey Funeral services for Delbert Eugene Massey, age 80 years. Born Sept. 12, 1930 in Lafayette, Tennessee. Passed away March 31, 2011 at home at 2413 S. Collier Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46241. He attended Gethsemane General Baptist Church and was a Mason for 45 years. He worked at National Starch for 14 years and as a Truck Driver for 15 years. Viewing services were held Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 4pm-8pm. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 11am at Flanner Buchanan (Floral Parl), 425 N. Holt Road Indianapolis, Indiana 46222. Rev. Gary and Rev. Kenny Sullivan Officiated. Pallbearers were Jesse Brooks, Joe Massey, Chris Henley, John Castle, John Neargardner, and John Lile. Delbert was preceded in Death by Huey Massey (father), Irene Massey ( mother), and Betty Russell (sister). He's survived by his wife Margie Massey (62 yrs of marriage), daughter Cathy Brooks, son Jackie Massey and his wife Anne Massey, and sister Jean Hudson and her husband Curtis Hudson. Six grandchildren, Shelly Massey, Kelly Massey Henley and her husband Chris Henley, Jesse Brooks and wife Misty Brooks, Nicole Massey Castle and her husband John Castle, Joe Massey, and Fred Lledo. Six great grandchildren, Dominic Brooks, Kobe Books, Carmella Brooks, Brayden Brooks, Jaylee Neargardner and John Latta III. All donations made to the Lung Associations.
