Debra Lynn Fleming
64, Fishers, passed away June 5, 2015 at her home. Deb was born in New Castle, IN on July 16, 1950 to the late, Arlen Perry and Jean Ann (Jones) Blevins. Deb graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1968. Deb worked as a switchboard operator at the Army Finance Center at Ft. Benjamin Harrison prior to becoming a homemaker to raise her children and then rejoined the workforce as a Customer Service Representative at Walmart for 25 years.
Deb was always supportive to her husband and family and extremely generous and giving of her time to others. She enjoyed cooking and was always a great hostess. Deb also enjoyed music, especially the Beatles, singing and dancing. Along with her collections of Santas and Disney Princesses, which she loved to share with her family.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, Arlen and Jean Blevins and sister, Gretchen "Lana" Sears.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. John M. Fleming, whom she married on August 7, 1979 in Sulphur Springs United Church of Christ, Sulphur, IN. She is also survived by her beloved children, Dustin Perry Blevins, Aaron Michael Fleming, and Tabitha Elyse Schwyn (Luke); and her adored grandchildren, Dustin Alexander Blevins and Ella Elizabeth Schwyn.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Flanner and Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), where friends may call from 1 pm until the service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the National Kidney Foundation. If it is preferred to send flowers, please note that it was Deb's request to have no red roses or lilies at her service.
