Debra Ann Dixon

Debra Ann "Debe" Dixon passed away on the morning of June 6th. After a hard fought battle with cancer, she decided to go peacefully into the arms of her Lord. Debe is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Dixon; daughter, Courtney Wiser (Justin); grandchildren, Jacob, Ari, and Ben Wiser; mother, Jo Ellen Yerkes; sister, Dina Walsh (Thomas); brother, Donald Yerkes (Jan), and many nieces and nephews. Debe was preceded in death by her daughter, Erin Elizabeth Dixon; her brother Mark David "Dave" Yerkes; and her father, Donald R. Yerkes.

Debe was a devoted wife, mother, and "Grandma DD". She and Tom recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on May 8th. They were true partners in life, together through every step. Also,  being a mother and “DD” was her greatest joy. She was always the biggest cheerleader with the loudest clap. 

She brought a sharp wit and wry sense of humor to every situation. A real wordsmith, she was always quick with a pun or a made-up song to teach her grandchildren something new. She was also a true fighter and survivor, who fought until the very end. The memory of her strength, humor, and beauty will stay with everyone who knew her.
