Deborah (Debbie) Ann Miley, a resident of Shelby Township for over 30 years, passed away on August 3, 2021. She was 69 years old. Debbie was born to her parents Paul Joseph Amadio and Shirley Ann (Jones) Welsh on May 29, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN. She later married the love of her life, Howard Earl Miley Jr., on February 22, 1975 in Indianapolis. They moved their family to Michigan in 1989 and enjoyed 44 years of marriage together until Howard’s passing on November 1, 2019. Debbie was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church for several years. Her faith was an essential part of her life. Debbie was a loving wife and mother who found great joy in being involved with her children and grandchildren as they were growing up and going through school. She worked at various schools throughout the Utica Community Schools District - as a teachers' aide, SACC teacher and crossing guard at Roberts Elementary, as teacher's aide at Malow Junior High, and most recently as a hall monitor at Eisenhower High School before her retirement. Her children will also attest that she was an excellent cook who embraced her Italian heritage and made a great spaghetti! Christmas was one of Debbie's favorite times of the year, and she would spend time baking treats or making Christmas candies when she was in better health. In her free time, Debbie loved crafting, crocheting, coloring, and doing puzzle games. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and taking care of her beloved dogs, Angel and Abby. Debbie is survived by her children, Howard Lee Miley, Kathy Ann (Mark) Strykowski, Shawn Ann Markus, Sherry Kay Moore, Cynthia Marie (Adam Vrabel) Miley-Vrabel, and Johnathan Michael Miley; grandchildren, Angela Michelle Miley, Taylor Elizabeth Combs, Eric Alexander Combs, Brittany Nicole McRae, Jessica Marie Markus, Parker Jamison Bubenheim, Donavin Robert Jordan Luder, Cecilia Miley Vrabel, and Bennett Miley Vrabel; and great-grandchildren Jaxton Roman Vasquez, Lillian Jane McRae, and Carter Wilson Smith. She is also survived by her siblings, Corinne (Jimmy) Hundley, Stephen (Helen) Welsh, Mark (Sharon) Welsh, and Sue (David) Cox, and many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Miley Jr.; her parents, Paul Amadio and Shirley Welsh; and her sister, Theresa Stansberry.
