Deborah “Debbie” Alderson, 63, of Indianapolis, left this world too soon, December 11th, 2024. She was born September 2nd, 1961, in Chicago Illinois.
Debbie moved to Indianapolis as a young girl and graduated from John Marshall High School.
A very hard worker, Debbie held jobs throughout her life. She settled into her role as a full-time homemaker.
On September 23rd, 1995, Debbie married the love of her life, Robert “Frank” Alderson. They shared 29 wonderful years together.
Debbie was a vibrant, compassionate woman. She had a huge heart and was unwavering in her generosity. Deeply spiritual, Debbie’s faith and beliefs were very important to her. She was a talented writer and poet, and a gifted artist. She loved to sing and had a lovely voice. Debbie was a wonderful cook. Debbie had a beautiful, unique sense of style. She liked to always put her best face forward and look her best. A devoted wife, mother, grandma “Nana”, sister, and friend, Debbie will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Debbie is survived by her husband Frank Alderson; children David Wilkinson and Dustin Wilkinson (Sarah); grandson Dylan Wilkinson; siblings Cindy Baker (Don), Mike Harner (Lori), Tim Kohler, Michelle Martin (John), Bern Dyer, David Dyer, Tim Hampton (Missy) and Teresa Brown.
She is preceded in death by her parents L.R. Harner and Florence Harner; God Parents Estel and Erma Sowder; and her sister Leslie Harner.
Visitation for Debbie will be Wednesday December 18th, from 11:30-1:30pm at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East. Her funeral will begin at 1:30pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
