Deborah A. Jewell

Deborah Alane Jewell, 65 of Bloomington, IN was born July 23, 1949 and passed away on April 14, 2015. She was born in Montgomery, AL to David and Juanita Black, who precede her in death. Debbie graduated from Columbus High School in 1966. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Education. Before retiring in 2008 from MCCSC, she taught for 37 years at Marlin, Broadview and Clear Creek Elementary Schools. She was very involved with the Reading Recovery Program. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended the Open Door. She enjoyed gardening. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Barry Jayne, Jay (Kim) Jewell and Debbie E. Jewell, and grandchildren, Tim Jayne, Allisann Jayne, Kory Jayne and Aiden Jewell. Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday April 18, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
