Deana D. Ray, 64 of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday March 21, 2021 surrounded by her family, after a short, but courageous battle with ALS. She was a lifelong member of Woodside United Methodist Church. Deana was the life of the party, she knew no stranger, and she lit up a room wherever she went. She loved camping, boating, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Deana is survived by her loving husband, Jess D. Ray; children, Kim & (Jeremy) Stephens, Jess F. “JR” & (Marcie) Ray, Heather & (Gabe) Kreighbaum, and Quinn Ray; grandchildren, Ben and Natalie Stephens, Lili, Spencer “Dog N Suds Boy” Ray and Ben and Sam Hoyt, and Bella and Landon Kreighbaum; siblings, Jim Godsey, and Lori Grable; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded is passing by her daughter, Kelly Susanne; mother, Doris Pate; sister, Rhonda O’Neil; and brothers, John Godsey, and Ronald “Buck” Key.
Friends are invited to gather at 1:00 pm on Thursday April 1, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229), where a celebration of life service will begin at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association Indiana Chapter (7202 E. 87th St., Ste. 102 Indianapolis, IN 46256).
