David James Wulf

David James Wulf (69) of Indianapolis, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on July, 28th after an extended illness. Lover of God, Life, Family, Community, Business & Politics. He was greeted at Heaven's gate by his parents (Frank & Marilyn Wulf), mother of his children (Kim Wulf) and her father (Joe Fowler).

He was a 1975 graduate of Anderson High School. He attended Ball State and Western Michigan Universities and earned advanced degrees in Business Administration. He worked for General Motors (Production Supervisor), Templeton Coal Company (Vice President - Administration, President - Franklin Plastics, Board of Directors, Vice President - Human Resources, Federal Government Relations, Tru Heat Corporation, Glascol, Dicksons, and Plumb Supply Company), and most recently, The Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

He was a devoted husband to Mary Lou for the last 18 years, and loving father to Jennifer, Brian (Jenny), and Caitlin (Victor). He was a great "Big Brother" to Ann (Darrell) Leibson, Susan (Doug) Hawes, and Jill (Mike) Johnson. He was a fantastic uncle to Charles, Rachel, Sebastian, Hannah, Sean, and Riley.

He enjoyed boating, swimming, traveling, reading, studying politics, and hanging out with his loyal dog (Scruffy).

He served on multiple Community Service Committees (United Way, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wabash Valley Foundation, Rotary Club) and received numerous awards. He was twice named as Volunteer of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and was appointed to the State Workforce Investment Board (Washington D.C.). He modeled excellence in the promotion and advocacy of public service and healthcare policies.

David is deeply loved and never to be forgotten. His legacy lives on in the hearts & minds of family, friends, and co-workers.

Visitation and a funeral mass will be at Saint Simon the Apostle Catholic Church 8155 Oaklandon Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46236 on Monday August 3, 2026 with visitation to begin at 9am and Mass to follow at 11am.
