David William Rousch Sr.

David William Rousch, Sr., 77, passed away with family at his bedside on October 22, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis on February 2, 1944 to the late Robert W. and Bertha Payne Rousch.

He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School, Cathedral High School, and Latin School before meeting and marrying the love of his life, Linda Harding, in 1966. Together they raised their two children in the Indianapolis area. He worked for many years at SouthEastern Supply as a yard foreman, but later retired as an assemblyman with the Ford Motor Company.

Dave was an avid reader and loved to settle down with a good book or watch an old-time western movie. He was adventurous and obtained his scuba diving certification. He also was a member of the NRA, Sports Car Club of America, and the Shelby Mustang Club. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Christmas season had a special place in his heart, the more decorations the better, but any opportunity to be with family was what brought him the most joy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Rousch; children, Carol (Geoff) Krohn and David (Leslie) Rousch Jr.; and two grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas Krohn.

He is preceded in passing by his parents; sister Sandra; and brother Wayne.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, St. Jude’s Children Hospital, or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 3-5PM with services to begin at 5PM at Flanner Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229.
