David William Parsley

David W. Parsley passed into Eternal Life May 19, 2023, at age 81 after a lengthy illness. He was born July 1, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Joseph and Laura Parsley.

David married Sharon Murley April 21, 1990, in Las Vegas. David has two children, Rhonda and Brian. He retired from Navient December 2016.

He was an avid NASCAR fan. He attended races with family and friends. Also, a fan of the Indy 500 since the 1960s. His favorite driver was AJ Foyt. He enjoyed all sports, including IU basketball, and especially football – Colts and Green Bay Packers. His hobby was photography, capturing scenes from vacations, holidays, and family gatherings.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Laura Parsley, and sister Carole June Waltz.

David is survived by his spouse Sharon, his children Rhonda and Mike Fasig, and Brian Parsley, grandchildren Ben and Kaylin Hokanson-Fasig, Peter Fasig and Allie Curtis, Garrett Parsley, and Trinity Parsley, and sister Marie King. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, from 10:30am to 11:30am at Flanner Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:30am.
