David W. Woempner

David W. Woempner, 85 of Fishers, passed way Thursday, August 3, 2023.  Dave was born March 6, 1938 in Indianapolis to the late Walter C. and Catherine L. Woempner. Dave graduated from Tech High School, Indianapolis class of 1956. He was member of the school’s choir and male quartet and attended Purdue University.  He was a mechanical engineer retiring in 2004 from Engineered Cooling System (now Horton Holding) in Carmel, IN.

Dave was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Rotary Club of Carmel where he volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 26 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, where family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00am until the time of the service. A reception will follow the service in the church social hall.

Dave is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Denise A. (husband, Donnie) Sewell; grandchildren, Megan R. (husband, Edward) Richardson, Daniel R. Sewell, Austin R. (wife, Amanda) Bullard, Eric M. (wife, Ashley) Bullard, Sean M. Harvey, Shelby A. (husband, Tanner) Gudauskas, Naima F. Mejia, Nhandi J. Mejia; great granddaughter, Lily Richardson; sister, Kathy M. (husband, John) Stucky; stepdaughter, Lori A. (husband, Mark) Lanphere; stepson, Matt T. (wife, Lucy) Thomson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristi K. Bullard.

The family wants to thank their neighbors, Ryan Batsie and Jason Ellenburg, for the special help they gave Judy in the final care of Dave.
