David Shaw

David Shaw, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011. He was born on June 11, 1925 in Beaver, PA to Erastus M. and Mary Edna (McClelland) Shaw. David served his country in the U.S. Air Corp. in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He graduated from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas in 1950 and worked for General Motors as an accountant from 1953 -1986. In addition to reading, coin collecting and playing golf, David was very involved within the Presbyterian Church; serving as an ordained Deacon and Elder. He was a current member of John Knox Presbyterian Church. David is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lila Lee (Gish) Shaw; children, Gary Lee (Virginia) Shaw and Cindy Shaw Rouse-Baird (Robert Baird); 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and only brother, William Shaw. Funeral Services for Mr. Shaw will be held at John Knox Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11am with visitation 1 hour prior to the services. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at 11am in the East Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Cheswick, PA.
