David Ross Elsworth Cox, our Rock, passed on February 3rd at the age of 59. David, a sixth generation Hoosier, was born April 8th, 1961 to Ross and Roselyn Joan Cox (née Hutchison). He is survived by his 4 siblings: Theresa Cox, Lisa Wintler-Cox, Elizabeth Griffith, and William Cox, also his Niece, Zoe Manville (née Wintler-Cox) and Grand Nephew, James Manville, plus a large and loving, extended family.
Shy and unassuming, with a sly and sometimes subtle wit, David was a man of deep and guiding faith. He was a kind and thoughtful caretaker of his parents, and a steady and reliable support to his entire family.
A proud member of the U.S. Army Reserves, David worked for CVS for twenty-three years, rising to the position of Senior Data Operator. He loved sports; particularly the Colts and the Pacers and was an avid Cinephile. David had a particular fondness for classic black & white monster movies (including the MST3K and Svengoolie riffs on them) and enjoyed TV shows from the gold and silver ages of television. His absence is, and will be, keenly felt.
