David L. McCreary

David L. McCreary, age 89, passed away October 17, 2023.

He was born on December 10, 1933 in Morgan County, Indiana, to John and Edith McCreary.

David married Holly Faye Howell on September 4th, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana. They had four children, Daughters Davida, Kandi, and Louanna, and a Son Robert. Their marriage lasted forty-nine years until Holly’s untimely passing in May 2001. David was a truck driver for the Indianapolis Star and News up until his early retirement due to medical issues. He was an avid motor racing fan, especially keen on NASCAR racing.

He is survived by; Daughters Davida (Kenny) Henson, Kandi (Tom) Kaiser, and Louanna (David) Ingalls, Seven Grandchildren: (Kim, Jennifer, Amanda, Andy, Aaron, Joseph, and Matthew. And Fifteen Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edith, Wife Holly, Son Robert, Grandson Kevin Henson, Great Grandson Elijah Cummins, Sisters Luella, and Donna, and Brothers Bill, Jack, and Kenny…

Funeral service will take place 1 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 North Holt Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46222, with burial to follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service.
