David L. King, 68, of Zionsville, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Altoona, PA the son of Richard and Dorothy (Trail) King. He retired from the State of Indiana-FSSA department in 2012. He received his B.S. Degree from Indiana Wesleyan and had attended Purdue University. He enjoyed camping and had coached his sons little league teams. He was a member of the Zionsville United Methodist Church and enjoyed Bible study.
David is survived by his wife of 45 years, Garnet (Lane) King; sons, Nathaniel "Nate" King (Michelle) of Frankfort, IN and Joshua King (Jeny) of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Austin, Audra and Jacob; and 1 great-grandchild, Zarin; 2 brothers, John King of Greenwood, IN and James King of Kalamazoo, MI. His parents and a brother, Robert King precede him in death.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
