David Keith Murray left this earth for another undisclosed location on October 13, 2022, at age 70. He was born to amazing parents, David and Maire Murray, in Indianapolis, IN on January 29, 1952. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda; his parents; and sister Carol Larsen. David leaves behind daughters Sarah Riebsomer and Heather (Nicholas) Singleton to carry on his antics. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Morgan Smith (Kevin), Parker Smith (Savanna), Kamron and Khloe Singleton, Nicholas, Tyler and Cash Bradshaw and Lane Riebsomer, in addition to four great grandchildren Nolan, Mason, and Quentin Smith and Kayla Singleton.
David was a proud American and served in the United States Air Force. He retired after serving twenty years of active duty. He served a combat tour during Operation Desert Storm and several tours of duty across the world including a tour in Germany. David then went to work at General Cable, retiring upon the death of his beloved wife Brenda. After a short second retirement, he went on to work part time for Menards in Avon where he carried on his sarcasm with his coworkers and customers.
David was a loving family man who loved to travel and try new restaurants, in which he documented his odd food choices with pictures worthy enough for a professional review. His passion for Legos was showcased with the many sets he built that even though there was an entire bedroom dedicated to their display, they spilled out to every room in his home. He loved to go to antique stores and finding interesting AKA old things from his childhood. David’s daughters were his world and loved spending time with them whenever he could along with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park with visitation on Thursday, October 20th from 4PM to 8PM. Funeral and graveside services to be held Friday, October 21st at 10AM.
