David Glaspie, Sr.  Born on February 20, 1956, in Indianapolis, passed away on April 1, 2024, in Missouri City, Tx.
 
 David was a beloved figure in both his professional and personal life, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication. Throughout his career, David exemplified commitment and passion. With over 30 years of service at Eli Lilly before moving to Texas to work at QuVa Pharma, he touched the lives of many through his hard work and perseverance. Not only did he excel in the professional realm, but David also shared his love for basketball by coaching for many years, shaping the futures of young athletes with care and wisdom.
 
 Beyond his professional career, David's joy was spending time with his family. He cherished these moments dearly and created countless memories filled with love and laughter. His warm and welcoming personality made everyone around him feel comfortable and valued.
 
 David found solace in various hobbies and interests. From watching The Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers games to attending the Indianapolis 500 annually, he had a deep-rooted passion for sports. Additionally, his love for golf and bowling showcased his competitive spirit.
 
 One of his proudest accomplishments was being a Deacon at Greater Love MBC and Beulah Baptist Church, where he selflessly served his community and congregation with devotion.
 
 David Glaspie Sr. was preceded in death by his parents Moses and Marian Glaspie, as well as his brother Rev. Paul H. Glaspie. He is survived by his loving wife, Marcia Glaspie; children, Mashona McFall (Shane), Monica Thompson (James), David B. Glaspie Jr., Steve Richardson (Kelsey), Stefanie Brooks (Brian), Shannon Richardson, Michael Glaspie, and Jeremiah Glaspie; along with 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and brother William F. Glaspie (Marie).
 
 The services to honor David's life will be held at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd W. Dr. Indianapolis on Thursday, April 18, 2024, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM.
