David G. Graham

David Gordon Graham, 45, died May 11 surrounded by family at his home in Carmel. He was a loving father and husband who enjoyed vacations with his family, socializing with friends and coaching youth sports. David was born in New York. He graduated from Carmel High School in 1983. He played varsity soccer in high school and then for Wabash College in Crawfordsville, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. After graduating from Wabash with a degree in biology in 1987, David worked in the Indianapolis area for several medical device companies. He was a project manager and sales coordinator for Data Chem, a district sales manager for Nova Biomedical and then a senior sales representative for Aesculap Inc. Even as David was battling cancer, he ended his final sales year at 113% of goal. David married Paige Prescott in 1997. They raised a family in Carmel, where he was active in the community through the Carmel Dads Club, as a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and its CYO programs. David coached sports for several youth teams at the church. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with his close family, especially on vacations, holidays and special events. Besides his wife, survivors include: daughters Caroline Patricia and Mary Grace, son Robert Gordon III, and parents Robert and Patricia (Greaney) Graham, all of Carmel; brothers Scott (Nancy) Graham of Baltimore, Md. and Michael Graham of Indianapolis; and in-laws David and Gerri Prescott of Highlands. N.C. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Jackson and Mason Graham of Baltimore, Md. and Madison and Arden Prescott of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; aunts and uncles Tom and Lette Greaney, and Joan (Greaney) Eckert; as well as many loving cousins and friends. David is predeceased by grandparents Daniel and Mary Graham and Thomas and Ruth Greaney, and an aunt and uncles, Frank and Ann Graham and Bill Eckert. A calling will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 16 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10655 Haverstick Road in Carmel, with a wake service at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 17 at the church. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, 9001 Haverstick Road, Indianapolis. You are invited to go to the Guest Book page to pass along your personal message or tell a story.
