David Carr

David Carr of Indianapolis passed away on September 21, 2026 in his home. He was born on August 16, 1956 and recently celebrated his 70th birthday. He is survived by his daughter Lauren, siblings Karen (Brian), Kevin (Nancy), Dennis (Renee), Rita (Michael), Matthew (Kim), and Tony (Shannon); many nieces, nephews, and extended family; lots of friends, and his beloved dog Arwen. He is preceded in death by his parents John P. Carr Jr. and Alicia (Weidekamp) Carr, and his brothers Paul (Jill), and John P. Carr III. Dave attended Our Lady of Lourdes and Little Flower Catholic Schools and Thomas Carr Howe High School (no relation). He worked his whole life with cars, whether in service, parts, or insurance, and his time outside of work was often spent at car shows. Dave will be most remembered for his love of dogs, craft breweries, attending music events, and taking photos everywhere he went.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 17, from 1-4pm at Flanner Buchanan - Broad Ripple at 1305 Broad Ripple Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46220.
